Ambulance Driver Medicals
Many ambulance trainees are required to hold a provisional C1 licence before beginning their paramedic training. We conduct ambulance driver medicals for paramedics, ambulance drivers, and students across the UK.
What Happens During the Medical?
During your appointment, our doctor will verify your identity and carry out a comprehensive medical examination.The assessment includes:
- A review of your medical history and current physical health
- A blood pressure check in line with DVLA standards
- A vision test using a DVLA-approved Snellen chart
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Please bring the following items to your medical:
- D4 Medical Form – Download Here
- Photo identification (e.g., driving licence or passport)
- Driving glasses or contact lenses, along with your current prescription
- Prescription glasses for driving and your latest optician’s prescription
- Details of any existing medical conditions and any medication you are currently taking
After Your Medical
Once your medical is complete, please send your D4 and D2 application forms to the DVLA using the return envelope provided.
